Eight chosen for women's rugby

Eight Warialda women have been selected into the Central North Womens Rugby Union squad to contest the Rugby 7’s at the NSW Country Championships at the end of the month.

The squad of fifteen includes locals Alicia Bussell, Steffi Duff, Kearni Churchland, Laura Carroll, Keira Clarke, Laura Wynne, Amie Clarke and Ali Simon.  Nicki Black, Gemma Hodgeman and Kirkby Kerr from Moree have also been named on the side, along with Megan Booth, Alissa Cox, Katrina Sager (Tamworth), Jade Anderson (Quirindi).

The women will have a final training run on Sunday 25th March at the Barraba Rugby Park before the NSW Country Championships on the 31st March at the Central Coast.
